‘Halifax papers of Wednesday morning speak very favourably of Oscar Wilde’s second lecture entitled “The House Beautiful”; describing it as an honest lecture, delivered with much better effect and of vastly greater interest than the other.’

On this occasion Wile’s subject was The House Beautiful, the talk he reserved for when he lectured in the same city more than once. Wilde had lectured in Halifax the previous day, October 9, 1882.
